This lovely mainstream primary school are looking for a creative indervidual who would like to work in the after school club. This is a perfect role for someone who is at university and looking for part time hours or someone that is looking to get into the education sector but not in the classroom.
The primary school are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced teaching assistant or playworker to join their friendly team in either ASAP or in September. The start date is subject to a further discussion.
The teaching assistant or playworker will lead the afternoon club providing fun, exciting activities, supervised free play, outdoor games and crafts for the pupils aged 5-11.
The primary school are looking for someone that is proactive and enthusiastic, who enjoys working with children. You will be working in a team to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children after school. This is a fantastic opportunity if you are looking for more responsibility in a primary school.
If you want to be in control of your hours but have regular work then this is the role for you. The school are looking for someone who is educated with a level 3 in education or something similar. This is because you will be working with all age groups in primary. This position is open to Teaching assistants and play workers.
When working with the children and your team you need to know first aid and be able to support children through safeguarding and then report it to the relevant person.
