Here at GSL Education we are delighted to be working alongside a selection of amazing SEN school partners and are looking for the very best Primary experienced Teaching assistants to work in the Leicester/ Lecestershire area

Your role will be working closely with a designated class or pupil , giving academic and behavioural and emotional support to enable the pupils to learn and flourish . We are looking for candidates who are confident and experienced in any of the following barriers to learning – SEMH, MLD, PMLD or ASD
Working hours will be Monday to Friday 8:30-3:30. You will be required to have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service to be able to work with our clients (This will be discussed during the registration process)

The Ideal candidate must:

  • Have experience or the desire to support Pupils with additional needs
  • Be confident delivering pre-set sessions 1:1 and to small groups
  • Be confident with Literacy and numeracy
  • Be able to commit to 5 days a week work
  • Have a Child or Child and Adult DBS on the update service.
  • be confident, outgoing, and personable individual with a passion for helping younger pupils
  • Be a great team player – able to take direction and use own initiative
  • Must be happy to assist with personal care

You dont need school based experiece but experience supporting children or vulnerable adults is required (personal experience is also experience)
