Job Title: Teaching Assistant Trainer

Location: West Yorkshire

Salary: £28,000 (Plus Bonus)

Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a Teaching Assistant Trainer in the West Yorkshire area to support learners in achieving their educational objectives and successfully completing their qualifications. As the primary point of contact for learners, you’ll provide crucial support throughout their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support a caseload of learners within the region, offering both face-to-face and remote assistance.
• Deliver a diverse range of adult education qualifications, ensuring effective learning outcomes.
• Develop tailored solutions for learners to optimize their learning experiences, nurturing their interests and career paths.
• Manage the learner journey efficiently using an e-portfolio system.
• Course Delivery: Deliver ‘Preparing to Work in Schools,’ Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications, Level 2 certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Understanding Autism (Children).
• Learner Progression: Ensure timely completion, achievement, and progression of all learners within your caseload.
• Progression Opportunities: Continuously identify opportunities for learner progression.
• Teaching and Assessment: Organize, plan, deliver, and assess teaching, learning, and assessments across various levels. Ensure timely administrative tasks using our e-portfolio systems.
• Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain excellent relationships with all clients/stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Demonstrate willingness and ability to positively respond to change and innovation.
• Flexibility: Be open to travel to client premises, skills hubs, and remote work as needed. This will be within West Yorkshire. Mileage is 40p per mile.

Essential/Desirable Criteria:

• A Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistant or equivalent.
• Significant occupational competency in a school setting.
• An assessing qualification (e.g., TAQA/A1/D32/33, CAVA) would be advantageous.
• Experience in building and managing your caseload effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• IT proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
