Based at our East Campus, Brighton

We have an exciting career opportunity to support our Carpentry learners at our East Campus Brighton MET College.

Our Carpentry department is growing with L1,L2 & L3 provision, L2 apprenticeships and commercial courses for Academic year 22/23. The Carpentry teaching team is creative in their approach to delivering an outstanding experience for learners wishing to pursue a career in Carpentry and the Department requires more support for a Technician in Carpentry. Do you feel you would fit into this team, are you currently in industry and want to discuss a move to support learners?

If yes, then you will be self-motivated and want to support the Carpentry Lecturers. The facilities are outstanding with 6 workshops developed for Bench and Site Carpentry, an industry standard machine workshop including a CNC machine and an accredited end point assessment centre for apprenticeships.

You will have a relevant level 2 Carpentry qualification, or be able to evidence sufficient experience. You will have literacy and numeracy at level 2 and be able to use most Microsoft applications, especially Excel and Word.

Essential criteria

• Level 2 (or equivalent experience) in related subject
