The Opportunity:

As the product leader of Data Analytics and Insights at Veson Nautical you will play a critical role in defining and delivering a world-class set of data solutions targeting the bulk commodity trading and shipping industry. The work of your team will impact thousands of users that are using our products to run their business worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Lead definition of product strategy, positioning, and pricing for Veson Nautical’s current and future data solutions
• Ownership and responsibility for success of Veson Nautical’s data product portfolio
• Develop and execute target market roll out of existing and new product offerings
• Surface and define market opportunities, prioritize the most impactful, lead or oversee product introduction to the specified target market
• Ensure organization is enabled to sell and service varied data offerings by collaborating across commercial, service, and operational departments
• Strengthen and standardize data governance and control practices across the Veson Nautical product portfolio
• Advocate for expanded data rights among customers and partners
• Lead a perpetual discovery process to understand how customers are making use of data within their business leading to the creation of new data and analytic solutions
• Negotiate business terms within third party content contracts for all Veson Nautical products
• Support data product contract definition
• Articulate and evangelize product vision for Veson Nautical’s data products
• Act as point of escalation or primary product point of contact for Veson Nautical data products
• Manage and mentor a team of Product Managers with varying levels of experience to achieve collective product goals

Education and Expereince Requirements:

• Proven product management track record within a data provider or content creator preferred
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the role played in building, messaging, and adjusting product roadmap
• 7+ years of people management experience
• History of building world class product teams
• Pricing and packaging expertise
