LSA / Residential Support worker- WR6

We are currently looking for a residential support worker In Worcester for students in KS3 to KS5. These students have social, emotional mental heal needs as well as MLD/SLD; as such will require a more comprehensive level of assistance.

The site is connected to a school site, preparing and sustaining the student’s daily routines for them to get the most out of their day before and after school. Key parts of the role will include preparing food, tidying up, speaking with, and listening to the students as and when they need the support. The new member of staff may have the opportunity to workday or night shifts, working to your availability. The friendly team of staff on site are happy to help any new team member adapt to the role, the site and the individual student’s needs.

Previous experience working in a residential site is preferred, having previous experience working with SEMH needs is essential.

For this role we require that you have:

Level 3 NVQ in Childcare and Education/ Health and Social Care or equivalent.
An awareness of Health and Safety requirements.
At least 6 months experience working with SEND students.
First Aid qualified and Personal Care experienced.
The residential establishment has a fantastic support network that is welcoming and inclusive to all members of staff. Other beneficial training would include MAPA/ restraint training but is not essential.
