Prospero Teaching are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Salford to recruit an enthusiastic and confident Year 1 Teaching Assistant to start in September, for the full academic year.

The Year 1 TA role will involve:

• Supporting groups with core learning activities including Reading, Writing, Phonics and Maths
• Making assessments and recording data
• Delivering targeted interventions for groups and individuals, including children with SEN
• Contributing effectively to behaviour management, alongside the class teacher
• Preparing resources

You will need prior experience in either EYFS or KS1 and have good understanding of the curriculum for KS1. This Year 1 TA role requires strong communication skills, ability to build excellent relationships with the children, and a genuine desire to impact the children’s progress and development in all areas.

This Year 1 TA role is full-time and has a daily pay rate of £85 to £100 depending on experience.

Essential requirements:

• Right to Work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS
• Relevant qualification such as Childhood Studies degree, TA qualification, Level 2 or Level 3
• Professional references covering the last two full years
• Teaching Assistant experience in a UK primary school
