Youth Worker
ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced, motivated and resilient Youth Worker to support students in a Secondary SEMH school in Preston.
The school is for students in Keys Stages 2 to 4 with an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP) identifying SEMH.
Located within Preston, the school is easily accessed by public transport and has onsite parking available.
The position is open to all experienced those you have a background in youth work, sports coaching, support work or have any other experience of mentoring children and young adults. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in a similar setting
LEVEL 2 Teaching Assistant/or equivalent and above is preferable
GCSE Maths and English and Computer literate
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
