The successful candidate will be responsible for providing HR advice to customers and supporting the work of the Advisory Team in a range of HR processes and practices.

Key duties

• Use experience and knowledge to provide information, consistent advice, and guidance to customers on the practical application of employment related policies, procedures, and processes
• Work with the Advisory team on all HR issues and Employee Relation (ER) matters gaining the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to effectively manage a case workload and undertake processes single handed with minimal guidance
• Complete job benchmarking for support staff roles and advise customers on the process to ensure that appropriate job grade outcomes are communicated
• To support and work with the Administration Support Team on various activities including redundancies and reorganisations, academy and TUPE transfers and the recruitment of headteachers to help ensure the delivery of a high standard of service
• Ensure that case management and time recording software systems are fully utilised when managing customer case work to enable up to date case management and accurate time recording for invoicing and billing purposes
• To advise and support customers in the management of employment related cases including drafting and reviewing support materials such as template letters, bespoke documents as well as attending and advising at meetings
• To support, where appropriate with chargeable investigations as a second investigator or notetaker, to ensure that minutes/reports are drafted and concluded to a high quality in a timely manner

What we need from you

• Experience of working and advising on HR issues
• Holds or working towards a CIPD professional qualification
• High level written and oral communication skills
• Strong time management and organisational skills
