Contract Type: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary to Permanent

Salary: 75.00 – 90.00 per day

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our passionate team at an SEN school in Waterlooville. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Mental Health challenges, ensuring that they have the opportunity to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with SEMH needs.
• Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans and behaviour plans.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive network for students.
• Monitor and record student progress, and communicate effectively with teachers, teaching assistants and parents.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience working with students or young people with SEMH needs is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the holistic development of students.
